new  YOLO — let your AI build your whole WordPress site, safely.

Compare

YOLO vs WP Godmode

Both put an AI teammate inside wp-admin. YOLO shows its work — an open safety model, an audit trail and scoped access — and works with any AI, not one vendor’s account layer.

The short version

WP Godmode has a polished in-admin chat (Plan Mode, background agents) that runs on your own ChatGPT or Claude subscription. It’s brand new (v1.0) and fairly closed — there’s little published about its safety model, backups or audit trail, and pricing isn’t set yet. YOLO is a transparent, governed layer — snapshots, backups, auto-rollback, a full audit log, opt-in gates and scoped tokens — that works across shell agents, MCP and ChatGPT under one clear licence.

A governance layer you can point to

YOLO records every action in an audit log, snapshots each change for undo, takes restorable backups and auto-reverts anything that breaks the site. WP Godmode’s site advertises “permission modes” and step-by-step undo, but publishes little about backups, audit trails or what it can and can’t touch in your database.

Many hands, no lost work

WP Godmode is a single-operator assistant. YOLO is built for more than one — people and AIs can edit the same live site simultaneously, with automatic merging and a Conflicts review screen for the clashes it can’t resolve, so work is never lost. On by default.

Your AI, your choice of surface

WP Godmode runs as its own chat inside wp-admin, on your ChatGPT or Claude subscription. YOLO is surface-agnostic: the same site works from shell agents, MCP clients (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Cline) and ChatGPT via OpenAPI — you’re not tied to one chat box.

Clear terms, on your server

YOLO is one plugin under one licence; your token talks directly to your site and data stays with you. WP Godmode pairs the plugin with a hosted account/licence layer, and its paid pricing hasn’t been published yet.

Where WP Godmode shines

WP Godmode’s in-admin experience looks genuinely slick: a Plan Mode that proposes an approach and choices before it builds, parallel and background agents, attach-a-mockup-and-build, and persistent rules & skills. If you want a guided chat that lives in wp-admin and runs on your own AI subscription, it’s well worth a look.
