A governance layer you can point to
YOLO records every action in an audit log, snapshots each change for undo, takes restorable backups and auto-reverts anything that breaks the site. WP Godmode’s site advertises “permission modes” and step-by-step undo, but publishes little about backups, audit trails or what it can and can’t touch in your database.

WP Godmode is a single-operator assistant. YOLO is built for more than one — people and AIs can edit the same live site simultaneously, with automatic merging and a Conflicts review screen for the clashes it can’t resolve, so work is never lost. On by default.

WP Godmode runs as its own chat inside wp-admin, on your ChatGPT or Claude subscription. YOLO is surface-agnostic: the same site works from shell agents, MCP clients (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Cline) and ChatGPT via OpenAPI — you’re not tied to one chat box.

YOLO is one plugin under one licence; your token talks directly to your site and data stays with you. WP Godmode pairs the plugin with a hosted account/licence layer, and its paid pricing hasn’t been published yet.

WP Godmode’s in-admin experience looks genuinely slick: a Plan Mode that proposes an approach and choices before it builds, parallel and background agents, attach-a-mockup-and-build, and persistent rules & skills. If you want a guided chat that lives in wp-admin and runs on your own AI subscription, it’s well worth a look.
